No One Writes to the Colonel draws inspiration from the legendary Latvian bar, Pulkvedim Neviens Neraksta (the late-night spot you ought to know when you’re strolling through the charming streets of Vecriga, the Old Town of Riga, Latvia), that pioneered the grunge style of Riga's night life back in 1996.
At Colonel you can wind down with an Old Fashioned, some jazz and a warm conversation with your date on a Monday. Come back on Friday and you’ll be ordering a Rum Punch before hitting the dance floor to groove to some Motown, old school hip-hop or house.
Our menu boasts of over 80 drinks. We make all the classics, like the Old Fashioned, Manhattan and Piña Colada. But we have our own creations like the Negroni Colonel, the Colonel Freshness and Breezy Riga. Of course, we can’t forget to mention our crowd favorite, the Mojito. Our bar was made waist-high so you can sit and watch your drinking being made from start to finish.
It’s an open, yet cozy space. So go ahead and approach that beautiful someone across the bar. Chat up our friendly bartenders. Get to know us because we’ll pour generously for the considerate, the nervous first daters, the drinkers, the happy, the sad and those simply looking for a good time!
Come right to the Colonel. You'll get a smile because they're for free.
